- Well, there are a lot of good cellular phone manufacturers, however
- there's a legend out there that Motorola devotes one floor of their
- design offices to the destruction of cellular phones; drop kicking,
- sand blasting, temperature oscillating, etc. With such rigerous
- testing it would stand to reason that they also test their phones
- extensively with peripherals such as modems attached. Certanly
- Motorola has a fantastic reputation of quality in their cellulars, and
- if the consensus is correct a Motorola would be an excellent choice
- for a phone that will be hooked to a modem.
-
- Be sure though, that you don't get a TDMA digital if you're planning
- on using it with a modem / fax. TDMA simply doesn't work with normal
- modems. For data needs you'll have to use an analog cellular phone,
- or insure that your digital is in analog mode.
